Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 can be launched this week. Text in Portuguese.

I doubt really much that Soap would die, but i won't be surprising if Price or Nikolai die.

MW3 is coming out in November 2011, my friend's mom works for Treyarch and Infantry Ward. He says that one level is somewhere that nobody could guess. He also says that one of the multiplayer Killstreaks is going too be a 4 grenades that shoot flames in all directions for about 6 Kills. That's all I know. But, there is also another DLC for Black Ops Zombies coming sometime. He also knows the Black Ops's code; how to crack it. HE IS CRAZY A British Magazine "PSM3" said that the launch of MW3 will be at the middle of April as Black Ops was.

ok i may just make myself look really tired due to the fact that i have only had 3 hours of sleep in the last 48 hours but the law suit said that they DELAYED pre-production. it never said that MW3 was in pre-production. there for the best info you can put in this article is that activision is planning MW3. this next thing is just my opinion but i believe that due to the recent loses infinite ward has suffered i dont think MW3 will even make it off the drawing boards. so yeah, go ahead and flame on me now.

Will it come out in 2011 (sine IW and Treyarch make a game every two years) I don't know. If it does, please let the campagin be better than it was in MW2, make it more straight forward with more missions and explantions. Don't leve the player with millions of questions, a clifhanger is ok but questions are....meh. I actually wont mind if this game game out in 2012 of 2013, IW, take as much time as you need. Why does everyone flame the MW2 campaign and MW2 in general? I thought it was awesome. Seriously. I think some people might be overanalyzing MW2. Some people have too high of expectations for games. That's what pisses me off about people. It's really good if you think about the gameplay aspect rather than the campaign alone. And the way I see it, IW leaves it up to the players to draw their own conclusions about what certain levels mean and such. It should not always be up to them to explain every little detail to the players who are too incompetent to understand it on their own. Yeah, honestly, I understood MW2 enough to not have any questions. Well, OK, I had maybe one question: WHY did Price launch the missile in "Contingency", and WHY did Ghost, Shepherd, Soap, and all them let him get away with it, because at the beginning of Contingency", we see that Shepherd doesn't like the idea of blowing up the submarine, so why would he be OK with a nuclear missile launch? IW does not own the modern warfare title. thats what the whole lawsuit is about, well the second half of the lawsuit. west and zampella (i think i spelled it right) are fighting for the right to the modern warfare franchise. they say that it is rightfully theirs. havoc131

I wouldn't worry about it. Infinity Ward will make Modern Warfare 3 and it will be amazing. I have no doubt in my mind about what they can make and neither should anyone else. LITE992, despite so many IW employees leaving, everyone who worked for IW may reunite to make Modern Warfare 3. We don't know for sure. This is all just speculation. Yes, info on the legal battle is needed. IW will make MW3 as far as I am concerned. And if Treyarch makes it, then it will be a heck of a lot less awesome. Treyarch is a million times less awesome then IW. if you get ride of COMMANDO, you suck. and IW should make all games oriented in the future and treyarch should make all games in the past. Interview with GameSpot

"According to GameSpot in a video news update released on May 8th, 2010, while they have lost important high-staffed employees including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 project director Jason West and assistant Vince Zampella, Infinity Ward will remain open for their next "big project," which people speculate could be Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3."

I'm sure this means that Modern Warfare 3 is for sure going to be produced and by Infinity Ward.

Expand the MW3 Data

Someone should add to the MW3 page that the game is still currently being made by infinity ward (refrencing the gamespot article as proof).

MW2 takes place in 2016

Infinity Ward has the licensing rights for Modern Warfare which means they will make it now matter what and there will be 2 stories, The Rangers fighting in Russia and Price, Soap, Nikolai, and Kamorov and his men hunting down Makorov, you will most likely be playing as Ramirez for the Rangers and defiantly Soap for the Task Force, that is all i'm able to say at this point but soon my boss will release more info on the story line. Oh and one my thing, Ghost is not dead

Yes i am an IW employee i work for the creative design department which means i design maps, you know how you can find IW emblems all over maps and stuff well make little details such as this and even design full campaign maps but yes, there has been much speculation around Ghost who, personally is my hero, when i tested the game and saw him die i walked over to my friend punched him in the stomach and left the room but yes, he's not dead, but i can't promise he'll be showing up again, you'll just have to wait a little longer

Where did you hear IW was gone? That is completely absurd, and the Modern Warfare series is not "gone" either like the article says it is in its pre-production stages but i have not been informed on further progress

My thoughts on what should be included in MW3:

You should start immediately following the events with Price, Soap and Nikolai; Soap is wounded and wanted by the US Armed Forces and the UK Forces.

But for the American campaign it should follow Foley’s squad in DC, there has been a lot of controversy with the President of The United States, some thought he/ she was KIA and others thought POTUS (the President) was RAPTOR (in the mission Wolverines) You should take the minor role (short role like the AC-130 operator in MW1 & Sat1 from ISS) of a US Secret Service Agent in the Presidential State Car with the President, who is going to make a speech to the US about the Russian Invasion, you then hear a shot ring out from a SVG (Russian version of the CIA, MI6, Mossad etc.) sniper who attempts to assassinate the President, I got the idea off the Mission Favela, were you start off in the car and then run through the streets, I liked the start of this because it is unlike any mission, it was like a urban operation, anyway the President should be rushed out of the area by the Secret Service (USSS) for he was wearing a bullet resistant vest (he survives) you then chase down the sniper through buildings with other agents. After this the President should get the Nuclear football out (if the character could control the football this would be great lots of people would like this, it would be like calling in an airstrike/ deploying a predator missile) and the President deploys it on Russian defences (not in Moscow though) You should then change to a undercover CIA officer (like Allan who was killed in the Airport) the CIA officer is sending Intel. To US Forces about the location of the Russian President (for the undercover CIA officer should be in the FSB, like a double agent) and once the intelligence has been sent to US Forces Foley and his squad (and hundreds of Marines, Soldiers, FBI HRT? Invade Moscow, places in Moscow are invaded, like the FSB HQ, SVG HQ, Parliament and Government headquarters and of course the Moscow Kremlin. It could then switch to Price, Soap, and Nikolai who are in London, or Russia, Georgia, somewhere? Looking for Makarov, and then you see Delta Force operators (remember the opening cut scene were shepherd is talking to the NORAD Officer about Makarov starting all of this, well shepherd is dead but many other people like the officer at NORAD he told knew about Makarov and what he did). à Delta Force Operators are also looking for Makarov when they spot Price (Everyone in the Army would have heard of Shepherd being dead, and they would have seen the wanted poster of them) and Price, Nikolai and the injured soap have to evade and maybe open fire on them (Delta is highly trained so make it hard to kill them) The Russians might then invade a very secret place in the US and you have to fend them off with another squad (could be a US Defence facility or Area 51 lol with NO aliens, or Camp David. Also we (the COD community) need to find out about all the High Value Individuals EG: Raptor, the guy in Arcadia who was killed).

Anyway the community would really like to see the Urban campaigns (Moscow invasion, Secret Service would be SO GOOD think about it, it would be like no other Call of Duty, we don’t want it to turn into a Grand Theft Auto so keep it COD style like the Favela mission (with less enemy’s).

So at least one of these ideas would be great. (PS: Black Ops will be jungle operations and desert operations so a change with MW3 would be great).

I would hope they do. They own/are given the right to produce the MW series. No way West/Zampella can take it away from them. They are waiting for their next big project. That is obviously MW3. Here how I expect things to be in MW3 - there's this flashback of the events from Loose Ends you get the role of Archer or Toad,the Shadow Company just left with the Pave Low,Archer and Toad run and pull out Ghost and Roach from the fire.Roach is dead,Ghost is still alive but his condition is bad.Toad manages to connect with Worm (who survived "The Gulag" and recovered) and tells him that they survived but need to be retrieved.Worm and some other guys from TF141 come then Archer and Toad tell Worm and the others what happened at "Loose Ends" - Worm tells them about "Endgame" and how Price and Soap survived and killed Shepherd.Then the game goes to 2018 - Soap and Ghost survived and recovered,you assume the role of Ghost,Kamarov (apparently alive) tells Price a place of one of Makarov's most trusted men (somewhere in Georgia).The TF141 go there and find the man,Ghost interrogates him and then kills him because if he tells about them to anyone else this will ruin the mission.The game then goes to the U.S Army Rangers assuming the role of Ramirez going to Kiev after a hard fought battle Kiev is burned to the ground.The Rangers plan on going to Saint-Petersburg and burn it to the ground.The TF141 go and find Anatoly (Makarov's right hand man) and learn Makarov's place,Anatoly is killed by Soap and then sent to Makarov as a word of warning.The Rangers burn down Saint-Petersburg,next stop - Moscow.Makarov hides in Moscow - the TF141 are headed that way too.On their way there the TF141 run into Foley and his squad,Foley says that he thought that they were killed,Price tells him how Shepherd betrayed them and Dunn tells something like "That piece of sh*t needed to die anyway".Price says that they will kill Makarov while the Rangers burn down Moscow.The TF141 invade Makarov's Estate and there's a huge fight there,at the end - Makarov is cornered,tortured and then executed Soap personally.The Rangers destroy and burn down Moscow at the end there's a cutscene of Moscow in flames and showing Imran Zakhaev's Statue and Makarov hanged from there.Back in the US - Ghost,Price,Soap,Foley,Dunn,Ramirez and etc. are war heroes.Price become Marshall Price,Soap becomes General MacTavish,Ghost becomes Captain Riley,Foley becomes Captain Foley,Dunn becomes Lieutenant,Ramirez becomes Sergeant - and that's how the Modern Warfare series end. 21:10, January 19,2011 (GMT+2)-LastManStanding

it should be coming out because there are questions that should be answered. Does the army rangers ever invade moscow? where are john price and soap hiding? what happens with makarov. what happens during the EMP. these are questions that need to be answered so thats why i think it should be made. possibly 2011. i am hoping it comes out early cause we all need answers to the questions we all have.

Not Treyarch?

I thought that a preview for MW3 (if not CoD8) will appear on Spike's Video Game Awards since other future games (coming out in Fall 2011) appeared. So this might mean that Treyarch is not making CoD8 or MW3 because Treyarch made an appearence in the VGA's and they would probably show a preview or make an announcement if they were. Ok we got tons of info now about call of duty: modern warfare 3. It has potential already of being one of, or the, most realistic military games EVER! You will take on the role of Private Keeshon Lewis who was thrust into action when the car dealership he works at closes. Instead of just doing levels and shooting the s*** out of people, which i'm not saying I hate, You will also do things like avoid cleaning the mess hall, waiting for the undershirt your mom said she sent you 3 months ago, go to a village to deliver a package, then finding out the order got messed up and having to drive all the way back, etc. Infinity Ward has already announced the 1st DLC, Re-deployment: Germany in which you will copy and file vehicle diagnostic reports, repaint storage units A4-D12, pick up cigarette butts outside of the main office, then repair 3,200 HUMVEES! Already some scenarios have been announced like settling a debate between 2 soldiers about whether they'd rather have sex with jessica biel or shakira, one where you get home sick and walk around in the desert until you feel better, and when you get back to your hometown of clayton,MO then tons of people are asking you things like how many people did you kill, how hot was it, was it like blackhawk down etc. I'll try to keep putting details as I get them but until then this is all i have.

What do you guys all think the Multiplayer Maps will be? Here's my Idea.

Overlook=A large map with 4 Sniper Towers. 6/12 players

Havoc=A Large building with a cracked floor. 6/12 Players

Kanlite=A small militia hideout with oil pumps on both sides. 3/6 Players

Last ditch effort= a large sized russain city/headquaters map with lots of building hopping and destroyed buildings 12/12

Possible plot

I think modern warfare 3 should be like this:

In the game, you should play as the Marine force you playled in MW2 with Jackson and all those guys, as well as Shepard's Shadow Company (Shepard will be identified as M.I.A.), with Task Force 141 being minor characters, although I also think you should play as Soap towards the end. Makarov should return, and the First Horseman mentioned in MW1 should make his appearance as the main antoganist. Both the Marines and the Shadow Company will be fighting the Russians (but not together) and the Shadow Company should also be lookin for any Task Force 141 survivors. Towards the end, one of the S.C. troops should realize that Shepard was telling a lie and retaliate by shooting his own troops, but get killed in the process. Also, Soap should sacrifice himself to kill the First Horseman and end the fued between the Americans and the Russians. Playing as the S.C. should be more stealth based and it should also inculed, yes, ZOMBIES! The year should also be 2017 or 2018. Character's from Modern Warfare 1 should return like Kamarov and MacMillan, it would be cool and we would get to see what became of them both. Also it should the invasion against the Ultranationalists in Russia with Foley, Dunn and Ramirez. And Vladimir Makarov should return this time as the main Antagonist in stead of Secondary Antagonist. Boris Vorshevsky as the leader of the Ultranationalists should get a character apperance. Ghost should return with a wound as the fire that shepard lit on them was only on Roach and not Ghost (if you use Noclip cheat you can see this).

Release Date

The Modern Warfare 3 Release date on this site is Sometime in November, but on IGN game releases it said that it would be released December 31st. I think that that would be awesome having the best game released on New years eve.

I've noticed that since World at War every CoD game has been released on the second Tuesday of November. Which in this case is the 8th. Also, since Word at War's release on Nov 11, 2008, the next Call of Duty title has been released a day earlier the next year:

Modern Warfare 3 opens as Modern Warfare 2 closed: The United States under siege by Russian forces, ultranationalist Vladimir Makarov on the loose, Captain John "Soap" MacTavish and Captain John Price wounded and on the run with the Russian informant known as Nikolai.

Fleeing to a safehouse in Dharmasala, India, the three are attacked by Makarov's men. In this firefight players take on the role of Yuri, a loyalist who works for Nikolai. Their safehouse compromised, the group flee the area in a helicopter.

The game then cuts to Manhattan where Russia is launching an attack on the city from a fleet of ships parked in the Hudson River. (It appears the famous U.S.S. Intrepid may be destroyed.) The U.S. calls in Delta Force to repel the attack. You take on the role of Frost, a Delta Force operative under the command of Sandman. Your goal is to take out a jamming tower on top of the New York Stock Exchange to open the area for a U.S. counterattack.

Following the mission, Delta flies out of the city on a Blackhawk, gunning down enemy choppers as they make their way to the harbor where they have to infiltrate and take down a Russian sub which is coordinating the attack. The Campaign Settings of MW3*Dharmasala, India

The daughter manages to escape. The president of Russia in hand, Makarov vows to prevent a peace treaty by getting the launch codes out of the president and launching an attack against the U.S.

The game then returns us to Price, Soap and Yuri, now in Africa in a search for Makarov. They meet with a local South African arms dealer who tells them about a shipment of chemical weapons that Makarov is trying to buy. The group make their way to Sierra Leone to secure the weapons from African militia.

Full sizeNext, players take on the role of an SAS operative who is tasked with stopping a delivery of weapons of mass destruction at a London dockyard. A gun battle ensues, and the agents are chased through the London subway. The mission culminates with a series of unmarked trucks exploding in front of the house of Parliament, releasing a deadly chemical agent.

Several other European cities and military bases are hit by similar terrorist attacks backed by Russia, and the death toll rises to the tens of thousands. The series of chemical attacks opens the door for a Russian military blitz strikes across the continent.

Price discovers that the South African arms dealer who tipped them off about the chemical weapons deceived them and travels to Somalia to find the man and interrogate him. Through the arms dealer, Price discovers that Makarov's right hand man, Volk, is hiding out in Paris.

The game's attention next shifts to Hamburg, Germany where players take on the role of a U.S. tank gunner fighting to push back a Russian advance backed by armored divisions.

[3]As Hamburg falls, the game shifts us back to the story of Price and his crew. Now in Paris, players control Delta Force operative Frost who, with the help of the French special forces, leads an assault on Volk's location in the underground catacombs of the city. Next, players take to the sky supporting Frost's ground movements as a gunner in an AC-130.

After capturing and interrogating Volk, Frost learns that Makarov has a meeting in a Prague hotel. Players control Yuri as he and Soap slip into the Russian-controlled city and set-up an ambush for Makarov in a church bell tower. Makarov somehow catches wind of the trap and escapes. Soap, Yuri and Price then have to fight their way out of the city.

Yuri leads the team to one of Makarov's headquarters in the Czech mountains and the group infiltrates the location, looking for clues. They discover that the ultranationlist has the president and is trying to get the codes out of him. Makarov has also discovered the location of the Russian president's daughter. The group move out to Berlin to try and prevent her kidnapping. Playing as Frost, gamers must find the daughter and protect her, while making their way through war-torn Berlin. The daughter, however, is captured and flown away.

Frost next makes his way to the Kremlin where a task force of operatives attack and free the hostages, but Makarov manages to escape again.

The game's final mission occurs in Dubai, where Yuri, Price and Sandman launch an assault on a heavily guarded hotel, eventually finding Makarov and, yes, finally killing him.

It also appears that the game may also include a post-credits level that features the burning of Washington, D. C. The stage seems set for a passing of the torch: from player-controlled members of Task Force 141 to the new characters from Delta Force.

We've contacted Activision for comment and will update the story when and if they provide reaction.

I suppose the rumor that Modern Warfare 3 will be a prequel is fake as the current timeline has Makarov on the loose, so if they turn it into a prequel it's like making a burger without the meat inside. Story

I can't really say I like story as it looks it's going to be right now. I haven't read through the leaked plot, I have only seen the trailers and they imply Russian attacks all over Europe and New York too. I really thought the aspect that the war in America was close to be over and a counterattack was soon to happen was implied by Dunn and Foley at the end of Whiskey Hotel. Now it looks like MW3 is again going to be about this fictive and pretty implausible war and continuous Russian attacks. I expected MW3 to be more about smaller and secret special operations around the globe to find Makarov and his men and about the hiding of Price & Soap.
